Gestió Viària S.L. (Gestvia) is the state-owned company of the Town of Calella, created in 1998 with the aim to manage issues related to mobility, such as parking, pay-and-display area and signposting.
With the constant increase of vehicles and its tourist town status, the town needed a body able to manage the public road space.
Regulated parking areas (pay-and-display areas) have become an effective method to encourage vehicles rotation. At the same time, the funds obtained from its management finances Calella signposting and Gestvia actions on the territory.
With the approval of the first Town Planning Plan of Calella and the subsequent development of new areas of growth, Gestvia expands its competences and becomes a state-owned company with management capacity in the region, both from its urban side to the promotion, construction and rehabilitation of areas and buildings for public services and social housing.
Gestvia works for Calella, for the service of its citizens, striving to improve mobility and allow urban development on the city.
